Back-end Developer (PHP)
Nature House is an international booking platform for a unique vacation in the middle of nature. Our mission is to improve local biodiversity by inviting people to enjoy nature. Our goal is to give more than 1 million back to nature by 2025. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a Back-end Developer who will make our platform a little better every day.
Together with the development team you will be jointly responsible for the further development, performance and scalability of our high-traffic web application. Within the team you will independently pick up tickets and think along with the technical solution. The work is diverse and complex because of the different target groups on our website (landlord, guest and internal support).
We develop in sprints of two weeks. It is a team where working together is number one. You help yourself and teammates through code reviewing and pair programming. The team consists of a product owner, tester, UX/UI designer, team lead, three back-end developers and three front-end developers.
Tech stack: PHP 8 (Symfony), MySQL, Node.js, Redis, REST APIs and ElasticSearch. The web application runs entirely in Google Cloud.
You develop good code and are used to working with code reviews
You bring at least 3 years of experience as a PHP back-end developer (Big plus if you combine this with Symfony)
You want to work for a high-traffic B2C platform
You are used to working independently on projects and tickets
You like ownership in your work, from concept to keeping it running on production
You are able to come for at least 2 days per week to our office in Breda
You are familiar with Unit Testing
You are curious and like to learn from others
You think pragmatically and in MVPs
You like open communication and direct feedback

Profit sharing up to a maximum of 4 months salary
